Purchase: Binoculars I was in the market for some quality binoculars at a reasonable price. I compared the Nikon Monarch 12x50 the Bushnell 12x50 and the Cabelas Pine Ridge 12x50 after taking the time to compare them both in well lighted area as well as low light areas I determined the clarity and detail was similar between the Nikon and the Cabelas far out performing the Bushnell. I based my decision mostly off of the clarity and the Cabelas pine ridge series is what I choose. I purchased them from Cabelas and the pine ridge bino's where over one hundred dollars cheaper then Nikon for a product that I have now used during the 2008 elk season and have been very pleased with. PS I have always used and loved the Nikon products.
Things I like about the Cabelas Pine Ridge 12x50 Binoculars: I like the clarity of these bino's especially during those low light ours when critters are moving the most.
What I don't like about the Cabelas Pine Ridge 12x50: I have found nothing wrong or anything that I dislike about this unit. These are not Swarovski and I did not expect them to be but for the money they are very high quality.
Binoculars Pine Ridge 12x50 quality: This unit is water proof and has a rubberized shell to protect it from almost anything. It has a 100% unconditional lifetime warranty which Nikon and many other brands do not have. However based on my use this season I believe that these could last a lifetime.
Pine Ridge 12x50 summary: The bottom line these are the best you can find in the 0-500 dollar range hands down. They are very durable very clear and again perform very well in the low light conditions. Again, Cabelas backs there product 100% with a lifetime unconditional warranty. I would recommend this product to any one with a tight budget looking for high quality binoculars.
