Purchase: Trail Cameras I bought this unit with the optional battery pack and mounting system on Ebay for $90.00. I never got the instructions and at first had a hard time, but called StealthCam. From reading reviews I was very timid in the first place for purchasing a camera and hearing the "no customer service horror stories!" But, they were AWESOME!The guy on the phone even called me back to make sure I got the wires i was missing. He did then inform me that the model wasn't compatible with my new MAC though and that really sucks! This is my 4th trail cam, and I like this one and one other alot. The battery pack is the way to go, by far. But the 8 dcells aren't that bad either. The cam I have that takes the best pix has 6 c-cell batteries and they last maybe 4 days! n that really really sux.
Things I like about the StealthCam STC-AD3 STC-AD3 3.0 Trail Cameras: Best feature, battery pack and so easy to use! an idiot could figure it out. Made very well and does not leak. Pics are so clear day or night and far away too.
What I don't like about the StealthCam STC-AD3 STC-AD3 3.0: Not MAC compatible. Besides that I love it!
Trail Cameras STC-AD3 3.0 quality: Built very well! Mounting system is great and re-sale value is awesome too.
STC-AD3 3.0 summary: If I am going to get another Camera it will be a StealthCam because of this camera. I have had quite a few, and I DO NOT LIKE TO SPEND ALOT OF MONEY on "extra hunting toys" and my wife doesn't like me too either, so for the money this the best set up I have had yet. If you are an average joe like me, have a few extra bucks around and don't want to spend 1,000 dollars on an elaborate security system to hunt some deer, go for this unit. And as far as customer service goes, I had a great experience. But that could change with only 1 phone call.
