Things I like about the Remington Ghost Trail Cam Trail Cameras (m-s): I like everything about this unit. The tree attachment is firm and easy to set up and add the cam to it. If you use the 1.5 volt cells and not the NiMetalHalide cells that are only 1.2 volts it's a breeze to program and set up. You do have to be aware that the unit uses the on/off button to bring up the screen, from sleep mode, when it's on. It only turns the unit off when the screen is in display mode. The unit has a good IR flash and also an incandescent flash for color images at night. The pictures are absolutely crisp and clear. No fuzzy grainy pics from this cam. A full 5.0 megapixels. I like the date and time stamp along with the temperature and location printed on each picture. After downloading the update from the Remington Feeder site, the unit now has Windows Thumbnail and Digital Camera format. The pics can be viewed in the field with my digital camera.
What I don't like about the Remington Ghost Trail Cam: Out of about 100 pictures I might get two or three solid black or white frames. Seems to get one right after setup. I am going to have to add some camo tape to the unit. It comes in jet black.
Trail Cameras (m-s) Ghost Trail Cam quality: The unit is well constructed and water resistant. Very nice quality. I think they have met their design goals.
Ghost Trail Cam summary: I think I have purchased the best camera for it's price range. I have owned one other trail camera and the Ghost outperforms it, hands down. I look forward to many enjoyable remote hunts with the Ghost and have really enjoyed the animals that my wife Jane, and I have captured so far. We now see more game on our place than we thought were there. Also I would like to add, that when I called Remington Feeders about the upgrade for digital camera format compatibility a real person answered the phone. They were both very polite and also very helpful. Thanks, Remington Feeders
