CVA Optima Pro Black Powder
Black Powder Manufacturer: CVA
CVA Model: Optima Pro
Review Category: Black Powder
Purchase: Black Powder I bought it new for $300. It's an Optima Pro, blued barrel, black thumbhole stock.Bought it to hunt Whitetails with.
Things I like about the CVA Optima Pro Black Powder: It looks good, shoulders well, loads and cleans easily, and is very accurate
What I don't like about the CVA Optima Pro: The flimsy aluminum ramrod is a joke. A very cheap rod for such a nice rifle. It scratches very easy and bends if not very careful. A composite ramrod would have been a much better choice.
Black Powder Optima Pro quality: The rifle is very well made. CVA has come a long way over the last few years.
Optima Pro summary: This is a great rifle for the price. Whether a long time muzzy shooter or a new beginer you could do a lot worse than this rifle. It offers a good variety of barrel and stock options. More so than most rifles. I've shot and owned many black powder rifles. I'd recomend this rifle to anyone and have.
