Traditions Pursuit Pro Muzzleloader/Shotgun Black Powder
Black Powder Manufacturer: Traditions
Traditions Model: Pursuit Pro Muzzleloader/Shotgun
Review Category: Black Powder
Purchase: Black Powder I purchased the Pursuit Pro at Cabelas in the Bargain Cave and man was it a bargain! I got both the 50 cal barrel and shotgun barrel for $320. It's like getting two rifles for the price of one. I have never shot a muzzleloading shotgum and wanted try Turkey hunting with it this year.
Things I like about the Traditions Pursuit Pro Muzzleloader/Shotgun Black Powder: Both barrels shot easily and accurately. I was able to load and fire the shotgun with about 1ft shot patterns at 25 yards. The 50 cal barrel was easy to switch out and I was shooting bullseyes at 50 yards using the iron sights with fiber optics provided on the barrel.
What I don't like about the Traditions Pursuit Pro Muzzleloader/Shotgun: It imposible to get shotcups down the shotgun barrel without removing the choke tube first.
Black Powder Pursuit Pro Muzzleloader/Shotgun quality: The rifle is very lightweight at a little over 8lbs and fits my small frame very well. The quality and engineering were the best. The rifle is very easy to care for. The breech plugs remove easily without the supplied wrench even after firing.
Pursuit Pro Muzzleloader/Shotgun summary: I plan to buy more Traditions products in the future if this is the qualtiy they produce. The folks at Cabela's knew the rifle well and provided me excellent advise and the best way to shoot and care for the shotgun. The Pursuit Pro is an excellent rifle no matter what you choose to hunt.
