Purchase: Fishing Reels Purchased at Bimart in Baker City, Or.--- paid about 20 dollars for it.
Things I like about the Shakespeare Synergy 200 spinning reel Synergy 200 Fishing Reels: It is smooth but I doubt it really has three ball bearings. It probably has one ball bearing and two brass bushings.
What I don't like about the Shakespeare Synergy 200 spinning reel Synergy 200: It's built out of poor materials. The finish didn't hold up and the pick-up cut totally through due to the normal friction by monofilament line. It is totally useless now. I can't find where to buy replacement parts for it.

Synergy 200 summary: I will not buy another Sharespeare reel --- it was probably outsourced to China and China makes crappy products. It's a damned shame that a "formally" respected American Company has fallen into the " profit above quality " mode. It they would stand behind their products and furnish their customers a method of repairing their crap, I might reconsider. M.B. Linzel
