Purchase: Rain Gear I bought this Rivers West rain gear at Fishermans Marine Supply in Oregon City, OR for $340 - specifically for my guided fishing trip to Alaska - the 3rd day I got soaked from my arm pits to my knees - I'm not impressed!! I think my son's $5 Mickey Mouse poncho would have kept me drier!!
Things I like about the Rivers West - Kenai Jacket & Bibs Kenai Jacket & Bibs Rain Gear: I thought I liked the warranty. . . I still don't have my gear back yet! I didn't buy a nice set of rain gear to mail back and forth so I can fish in the rain, because at this price you can't afford to have 2 sets!!
What I don't like about the Rivers West - Kenai Jacket & Bibs Kenai Jacket & Bibs: It leaks everywhere - It doesn't work, their customer service stinks - they won't give me my money back nor will the store because I was 3 days over the 30 day policy - even though I was out of the state on a fishing trip. The store has told me repeatadly that Rivers West is very difficult to work with - that's not good in this economy!
Rain Gear Kenai Jacket & Bibs quality: I only wore it for 5 days, but I'm not impressed - the magnet pocket seems to be wearing fast for only 5 days of use and after walking around the boat and kneeling down a couple times there is wear on the knees and bottom of each pant leg - only 5 days of wear - unacceptable!! I'm not that hard on my stuff.
Kenai Jacket & Bibs summary: I would buy Grundens - that's what I wear at work and I should have gone with what I know works, but I wanted the fancy new stuff with cool pockets and gadgets - all the stores that sell Rivers West know that they are difficult to work with, and I'm learning that they are - I would not spend one penny on their product ever again, and I'm letting everyone I know - IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!
