Purchase: Hunting Gear Misc I purchased the Rocky brand Scent IQ Atomic realtree hunting pants for men from Dick's Sporting Goods, since I was unable to find any pants for women in my size. I bought these so I could wear them to field trials with my family with our youngest chessie. There were other pants such as Scentlock and Dick's sporting goods house brand either of which cost more than Rocky and less than Rocky. One pair $65 including tax.
Things I like about the Rocky Scent IQ Atomic Realtree camo hunting pants Hunting Gear Misc: These pants are soft, comfortable and roomy.
What I don't like about the Rocky Scent IQ Atomic Realtree camo hunting pants:
Hunting Gear Misc Scent IQ Atomic Realtree camo hunting pants quality: At first glance, one would think that since these are hunting pants constructed for men that they would be durable. The stitching pulled out not even an hour after wearing them as I kneeled down to pick something up. The side seams are ok but the stitching above the water resistant knee's is gone. I now have knee pockets ;-) The material is fine but the thread quality is very poor.
Scent IQ Atomic Realtree camo hunting pants summary: All in all, I cannot possibly recommend Rocky brand hunting clothing for anyone serious in hunting. Unless someone has exceptional sewing skills to constantly repair the stitching that is consistantly breaking, I can't in all honesty recommend them. Contacting the Rocky brand company results in no response. To many folks $65 may not seem like alot of money for a pair of hunting pants. I could have purchased cheaper hunting pants that fit a little less comfortable but have way better construction and materials. $65 is alot for our household with 3 children, 1 husband, 5 rescue chesapeake bay retrievers, 1 jrt, 1 terrier mix, 1 tortoise, 7 cats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, quail and a goose. I have better things I could spend $65 than a pair of poor quality pants.
