Purchase: Hunting Boots I saw a friend using snake boots while we were mountain lion hunting so I started looking for a pair. i found a pair on a cabellas magazine and ordered them. they are 600 gram insulated and side zip. i paid around 150.00.
Things I like about the cabelas snake boot Hunting Boots: i like that they are so high up on the leg. almost to the knee. For the most part i stayed dry and they were great in deep snow
What I don't like about the cabelas snake boot: They only lasted one season before they started leaking. By the second season the seams were coming undone and they are no longer any good to me.
Hunting Boots snake boot quality: As I mentioned the seams come undone and they were leaking pretty bad within a year
snake boot summary: If you could beef up the insulation to 1000 grams and come up with a better construction so the seams wont come undone this would be a great boot! Im extreamly hard on boots and I understand that. For Mountain lion hunting i do it all in the snow. I need a high boot like these to keep me dry and warm. Now all we need is more durability.
