Purchase: Crossbows The agene of defeat, lost of words, and never hunting again were things that ran through my mind when thinking of hunting with a bow or crossbow. I guess the thought of missing the BUCK of my life with a bow but knew if I had my rifle, I would be looking at him on my wall. The memories would live forever. One day, I was at a pawn shop. I saw a Horton XL Explorer crossbow. The worker at the store and I began to talk. As you know, I immediately started to talk negative about the crossbow. The worker stated to me with a smile, “Just go ahead and get it. If you do not like it for any reason, I will refund your money.” I thought to myself, this will give me a reason to talk even worst about the product. I will wipe that smile right of his face when I return. So, I agreed to buy it for $210.00. I then went to Dicks Sporting Good and purchased arrows, practice tips, and a target. When I got home, I immediately went to my backyard, set up target, and was ready. I was surprise after shooting the first arrow at 20 yards that the crossbow was already sited in. I had to make no adjustments to the scope that came with it. This was not enough to convince me that this crossbow was that good. To make a long story short, I shot 5 arrows at my target in the same circle. I broke or damaged 3 out of the 5 arrows from repeatedly hitting the spot. I was amazed with the accuracy. I could not believe my eyes. I then shot 4 more and damaged 2 of the arrows. I begin to smile thinking of all the deer that I could kill with this Horton XL Explorer crossbow. This crossbow is just as accurate as my rifle at short ranges. The next day, I went back to the pawn shop with a smile on my face. The same guy was there. He immediately said, “I already know. I wanted to tell you yesterday how good this crossbow was but I want you to see for yourself.” I had nothing bad to say about the crossbow. Believe me, I had all the intentions in the world to come back with negative feedback but I could not find any flaws. The guy then told me that the crossbow was his but he sold it to me just so he could make a believer out of me and convert me to a bow hunter. I’m looking forward to this hunting season with my crossbow. I would recommend this product to any and all hunters. Thanks to Horton for creating such an excellent crossbow. I’m looking forward to buying more of your products.
Things I like about the Horton Horton XL Explorer Crossbow Crossbows: I like how accurate and consistant the crossbow shoots. On a rest, you can shoot arrow after arrow in the same spot.
What I don't like about the Horton Horton XL Explorer Crossbow: I tried but could not fine any flaws with this product.
Crossbows Horton XL Explorer Crossbow quality: This product is well built. This is one of the most accurate weapons that I ever used.
