Review Category: Hunting Boots
Purchase: Hunting Boots I recently purchased these boots at Dick's sporting goods for the sale price of $79.99. I'm using them for deer hunting.
Things I like about the field and stream boots Silent Tracker 1000 Hunting Boots: The boots are very comfortable and have kept me feet warm and dry despite some very wet conditions and hiking through 3-4 inches of standing water in 35 degrees temps to get to my stand.
What I don't like about the field and stream boots Silent Tracker 1000: The shoestrings are inferior and are not suitable for very wet conditions. these shoestrings need to be thicker and more durable to hold up to the rigors of walking through swamps and freezing conditions.
Hunting Boots Silent Tracker 1000 quality: these boots have leather uppers and rubber soles which have terrific gripping capability. I particularly like the cushioned footbed and arch support which I need to be able to walk for hours on end with no hint of foot fatigue.
Silent Tracker 1000 summary: Great quality boot for the money. This is my first pair of boots from this company and they need to upgrade the quality of shoestrings so they last longer than a few months. However, the leather uppers and rubber lug soles along with the superior arch support make this a very good buy.
