Shimano Quickfire TX 4000 Fishing Reels
Fishing Reels Manufacturer: Shimano
Shimano Model: Quickfire TX 4000
Review Category: Fishing Reels
Purchase: Fishing Reels I bought this reel at a local drugstore for around $25.00 about 5 years ago. I bought on advise from a friend to use for Steelhead fishing.
Things I like about the Shimano Quickfire TX 4000 Fishing Reels: I like the smoothness of the reel, there is no wobble in it when reeling in the line. I also like the quickfire lever as it always returns to zero so you are ready to cast again. Takes a little getting used to but once you do it's great. When going for a Steelhead you sometimes don't have any time to waste.
What I don't like about the Shimano Quickfire TX 4000: I can't say much here, I just really enjoy using it.
Fishing Reels Quickfire TX 4000 quality: This is a very well built reel, I bank fish a lot so my equipment sometimes gets beat up a little climbing up and down the river banks and this reel really can take it.
Quickfire TX 4000 summary: Over all I really like this reel, I bought on recommendation from a friend and have not regretted it. It is rugged and can take a beating and it looks good which is a big item with me. It seems to me it should cost more. It also came with an extra spool. No bells and whistles here just a good piece of gear to have. Like I said I go after Steelies and this does the job, it handles those tough guys with no problem at all.
