Garmin Etrex GPS
GPS Manufacturer: Garmin
Garmin Model: Etrex
Review Category: GPS
Purchase: GPS I bought the Garmin Etrex through Cabelas for around $110. I am an avid outdoorsman, and I love to fish, hunt, and hike. I came to the thinking that a GPS would come in handy for marking fishing spots and other things.
Things I like about the Garmin Etrex GPS: The controls are basic and are easy to learn and understand. It has many nice features including: moon phases, routes, marking waypoints, compass, time, best times for hunting/fishing, and other various controls. It is easy to guide yourself to the waypoints. It is nice and small too. The biggest plus is that it can almost always pick up signal with the sattelites.
What I don't like about the Garmin Etrex: The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it runs out of batteries in about 22 hrs. if you left it running.
GPS Etrex quality: It can fit in the palm of any person's hand. The back twists off handily to change batteries, and the sensor is located on top of the GPS. It is a very well constructed mini computer as I'd call it.
Etrex summary: This is an affordable, well rounded GPS that is not over fancy but yet gets the job done. First time buyers should surely want to take a look at this.
