Shimano Calcutta 200a (silver) Bass Fishing Reels
Bass Fishing Reels Manufacturer: Shimano
Shimano Model: Calcutta 200a (silver)
Review Category: Bass Fishing Reels
Purchase: Bass Fishing Reels I bought this reel from Academey sports and outdoors in Baton Rouge Louisiana for a little over $160.
Things I like about the Shimano Calcutta 200a (silver) Bass Fishing Reels: This reel is incredible, I use it for crankbaits and worm fishin' in freshwater bass situations. I also fish this reel in saltwater a lot. Hauled in some 15+ pound Redfish (or red drum) with it and it was up for the job. I have had it for almost two years now and it has no corosion at all. VERY SOLID REEL!! Very easy casting, and good sensitivity!
What I don't like about the Shimano Calcutta 200a (silver): There is not much to complain about, on thing is that after a while the sides get scraped up a little but that doesn't effect the performance any.
Bass Fishing Reels Calcutta 200a (silver) quality: Shimano construction need I say more.
Calcutta 200a (silver) summary: This is a great reel and definatly worth the price. It holds up in fresh/salt just fine, and is a joy to fish with. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reel that will last them a long time and give them consistent performance.
