Rapala Model: Husky Jerk
Review Category: Fishing Lures
Purchase: Well I was out shopping at Wal-Mart one day with my dad and thought I should get some more fishing lures since my tackle box was running low and had a fishing tournament with my friends the next day. So I was browsing through the ailes then I saw a Husky Jerk. Well my friend had one in gold color and was catching a whole bunch of monster bass last time on it so I thought I would try one out. Im not sure but I think it was around 4 to 5 bucks.
Things I like about the Rapala Husky Jerk: Well first of all theres so many color patterns to choose from and alot of them mimic the fish patterns really well especially the glass minnow. The action is real great and it actually suspends which lets you pause the bait in the water for a while before you start reeling it back in. I've caught about 4 large mouth bass on it ranging from 2 to 6 pounds.
What I don't like about the Rapala Husky Jerk: Well there's not much to not like about this lure except for the fact that lures that tend to suspend also tend to get a whole bunch of weeds but other than that its good.
Husky Jerk quality: The construction of the huskey jerk is awsome I accidently casted it to some rocks or gravel while practicing casting at my house but it really is a tough bait and nothing really happpened to it.
Husky Jerk summary: If its a rough day and fish are not aggressive this is the bait you want. Trust me try the stop and go retrieve it really is a killer technique. Stopping the lure in front of a fish triggers its natural reflexes to strike now so if you wanna woop up on ur friends go for it.
