Purchase: Fishing Reels local tackle store. I bought the reel when I went into the store looking for something else. I paid MSRP which is $499
Things I like about the shimano 200DC Fishing Reels: The workmanship is first rate. The color is beautiful. It is easy to learn to use if you have used any baitcasting real in the past. Casting distance with no wind is about 50% more than my chronarchs with practice. You still have to thumb the spool. The computer is not that smart but once you learn how to set the reel it is a no brainer. Very useful on windy days wade fishing and having to cast into the wind.
What I don't like about the shimano 200DC: Its expensive. Im sure as others catch up with the technology the price will come down. I also would rather have a low profile reel which Im sure they will come out with eventually. Its a little heavy but it more than makes up for this when you can fish into the wind.
Fishing Reels 200DC quality: Unsurpassed
200DC summary: If you can afford it, get it. If not wait and the price will edge down a little. It will never be cheap.
