Things I like about the Mitchell 308X Gold: Nice smooth retrieve, excellent drag controls, and a very comfortable wood handle. Interchangeable spools allow you to use different lines on the same reel.
What I don't like about the Mitchell 308X Gold: There's nothing I don't like. It's a superb reel.
308X Gold quality: Very well made, all metal construction. 10 gears, 5.5:1 gear ratio, instant anti-reverse. The bail sets and releases very smoothly. Extremely comfortable in the hand and relaively light weight (8.6 oz.).
308X Gold summary: This is a great reel and for the money, you would be hard pressed to find a better value. The 308X Gold continues in the Mitchell tradition of excellence.
