Simmons Aetec 2.8-10 X 44 Rifle Scopes
Rifle Scopes Manufacturer: Simmons
Simmons Model: Aetec 2.8-10 X 44
Review Category: Rifle Scopes
Purchase: Rifle Scopes I purchased this scope through walmart. I paid $170. I was looking for a scope to mount on my 300 WSM for elk.
Things I like about the Simmons Aetec 2.8-10 X 44 Rifle Scopes: This is definately a scope that is a bargain. The clarity of the optics is excellent. Objects appear to be just as bright as they are with just the naked eye. There is no way I would ever put up the money for a leupold or any other more expensive scope for that matter. This scope is all you could want. Once it's zeroed in it stays there and as far as I can tell the 1/4" clicks are just that. Another important thing to me is eye relief. It has a very narrow range at which you can look through the scope and have a good picture. This is very important when it comes to hitting you're target. Whether you realize it or not if you're not looking through the scope the exact same way each time it affects your shot, and that includes how close or how far from the scope you are.
What I don't like about the Simmons Aetec 2.8-10 X 44: It's a shame that this wasn't made in the USA
Rifle Scopes Aetec 2.8-10 X 44 quality: It has a one inch tube, aspherical multi- coated lenses. 1/4 MOA fingertip adjustments.
Aetec 2.8-10 X 44 summary: I've never owned a leupold, but I have looked at them. The optical clarity of this scope rivals that of any leupold or other top of the line scope. There is no way I would pay the money for a more expensive scope. The Aetec is worth it's money. It's definately an excellent scope for a VERY reasonable price.
