Purchase: Bass Fishing Reels I bought mine Tx 500FA at an online auction for 15.00 plus 7.50 s/h. I had wanted to try this reel because I own a TX-110Q ,that is no longer made, and liked it and wanted to try this reel.
Things I like about the Shimano TX Spinning Reel - TX500FA Bass Fishing Reels: This is one of the best if not the best reel made. It will handle an 6 pound drum and all the way down to a 2 oz bluegill. You get a reel that works great at ultra- lite and medium-lite fishing. I use a 4 1/2' shimano aero rod and 4 lb silver thread line. Works well on speckle trouts as it does on crappie. With very little care this reel will work for years (mine is 8 yrs. old and counting). It is smooth out of the box.
What I don't like about the Shimano TX Spinning Reel - TX500FA : I wish it had a trigger and I prefer a rear drag.
Bass Fishing Reels TX Spinning Reel - TX500FA quality: This reel although small is not made to be replaced every year or two. This is a quality reel made to be used.
TX Spinning Reel - TX500FA summary: If you like ultralite fishing and quality equipment then you need to try this reel.
