Purchase: Fishing Reels I purchased this reel on ebay for about $160 including shipping.
Things I like about the Amabassadeur EON 3600 Pro Fishing Reels: Compact but not miniscule, lightweight, easily adjustable and customizable for the particular lure that one might use. I never thought I would like anything as well as the standard star drag but must admit that nodified drag is much easier to operate and control.
What I don't like about the Amabassadeur EON 3600 Pro: The plastic pins that connect the left (non-handle) sideplate of the reel (must removed to change spools) has little plastic retainers that lock it into place. These seem to be very fragile. I also feel that the instructions and diagrams are not adequate to answr questions that an end user will have.
Fishing Reels EON 3600 Pro quality: In spite of these shortcomings, the reel is designed and assembled with careful attention to the quality and construction of the reel. Although I have not has it for a long time, it seems as though it is going to hold up in good fashion.
EON 3600 Pro summary: Overall I am thrilled with this reel. Although some people are quick to suggest that it is all marketing, I feel that there have substantive changes and improvements and believe the reel to be technically superior to my favorite 5500C. I would qickly buy another if I spouted another arm
