Purchase: Fishing Reels I purchased 2 of these Okuma reels from a local fish store at $50 a piece. Okuma is very well known for their superior performance, so it wasn't a difficult decision in choosing this reel. Another reason was because I also own one Okuma MD-40.
Things I like about the Okuma Metaloid MD-30 Fishing Reels: 10 Ball bearings at a very affordable price. Great craftsmanship, chrome polished reel with an extra spool. Smooth casting, and excellent anti-reverse system.
What I don't like about the Okuma Metaloid MD-30: The only complaint I have about this reel is the weight. It weighs over 9 ounces, so it can get pretty tiresome on the wrist, after 2-3 hours of casting and catching bass. Other than that its definately worth every single penny.
Fishing Reels MD-30 quality: Drilled aluminum spool with titanium lip, aluminum spare spool, waterproof drag seal, EDS Drag System, Aluminum handle, soft handle knob, protective carry bag. 10 Ball bearings.
MD-30 summary: If you're looking for a top quality reel, at an affordable price, then look no further. The Okuma metaloid is well worth the money.
