Purchase: Fishing Reels I bought this unit at Bass Pro Shops in Atlanta, Georgia. I paid $100 for it.
Things I like about the Quantum Accurist 500PT Fishing Reels: This is a remarkable product. It is produced by quantum, which makes excellent fishing reels. This reel is utterly smooth, yet powerful. It has a machined aluminum spool, and it is a pleasure to use. The thumb release requres very little pressure to push down, and this reel has a flipping selector. With five bearings and a 6.2:1 gear ratio, it pulls in the fish fast. This reel is lightweight and holds a variety of different line types and sizes. It has a magnetic brake along with a 6-pin centrifugal brake to assure no backlashes.
What I don't like about the Quantum Accurist 500PT: It is kind of expensive.
Fishing Reels Accurist 500PT quality: This reel is of high-quality construction. it is made of aluminum, so it is lightweight but strong. It is put together very well with all the bolts and screws down tight.
Accurist 500PT summary: This reel is excellent for beginner and novice alike. It is very easy to cast and is very smooth on the retrieve. My dad had to have one when he tried mine out.
