Storm Thunderstick Fishing Lures

Fishing Lures Manufacturer: Storm
Storm Model: Thunderstick
Review Category: Fishing Lures

Purchase: Fishing Lures I obtained this fishing lure at a local Dick's Sporting Goods. I actually was looking at the Rapala lures but they seemed too expensive for a fishing lure. In the next aisle were Storm Thunderstick lures, I dropped the Rapala lure which almost looks like the Storm lure, but cheaper. I paid $3.50 for it.

Things I like about the Storm Thunderstick Fishing Lures: I liked the way the lure looked in the water. I was using the Rainbow Trout colored one, my father was using a smaller Shad colored, and my brother was using a Rapala. We were fishing from an older style 3-person canoe with a trolling motor. We didn't have to mush luck fishing along the shore so we would troll the lures going across the 10 ft. deep 50 acre pond. We had tremendous success, in 3 hours of trolling on a hot sunny day my father had caught 22 pickerel, my brother had caught 31 pickerel, and I had caught 32 pickerel. We would have stayed longer but on my brother's 31st pickerel he picked it up with his hands and started jerking around fiercely and hooked him with his own hook...2 hours in the hospital.

What I don't like about the Storm Thunderstick: There is not much not to like about this lure. The only thing I find wrong with it is that the company should have more colors. The colors they have are great but under some conditions they don't have as much success. Another flaw is that my arm started to get tired from all the fish!

Fishing Lures Thunderstick quality: This lure has last the longest of all my lures. My oldest one still looks as good as my newer ones, still has the performance, and still has the outcome...FISH. The hooks stay sharp even after being battered alond rocks. The lure does get scratched from all the pickerel and their teeth gnashing at the Thunderstick.

Thunderstick summary: All in all I hope this review was useful to you and make sure you have one of these in your tackle box. Also we did not only catch a lot of pickerel, we caught a lot of bass.
