Purchase: Fishing Rods Purchased through Bass pro shop magazine. Wanted to try the rod balance system.
Things I like about the Bass Pro Shop Extreme HM 54 graphite W/ weight balance system Fishing Rods: I have carpal tunnel in my right wrist and the weight balance system allows me to work top water baits all day with very reduced pain and fatigue.
What I don't like about the Bass Pro Shop Extreme HM 54 graphite W/ weight balance system: Would like to see lighter actions such as med. lt. instead of just med. or med hvy.
Fishing Rods Extreme HM 54 graphite W/ weight balance system quality: I fish 4 or 5 days a week in salt water and the rods are holding up extremely well. I am using 6'6" med. action rods and have caught many large redfish and trout with them and they perform perfectly. Plenty of back bone for handling the larger fish but still sensitive.
Extreme HM 54 graphite W/ weight balance system summary: Easiest rod to fish with I have ever owned. The pendulum effect of the weight balance not only reduces arm and back fatigue, but gives you more power on the hook set. When and if I wear them out I will definately replace them with like for like.
