Purchase: Trail Cameras (m-s) I bought a couple of these units last year for $279 per. This season however the DC-200 has received a price reduction to $200
Things I like about the Non-Typical Deer Cam DC-200 Trail Cameras (m-s): This unit is a very easy to operate model. It's simple turn the dial delays adjust from 15 seconds to hours. It's a well made unit that stands up to any weather and can be counted on to take a top quality pic in any condition, night or day. It also features a good cable protection system with a lockable flange to prevet theft.
What I don't like about the Non-Typical Deer Cam DC-200: The only downside that I've found to the unit is in the event of very cold/freezing temps, there may be a touch of moisture that will collect on the small plastic housing screw located at the bottom. This plastic screw must be taken out before the housing can be opened. IF this freezes it can be a problem to undue with bare fingers. A slight turn with pliars will take care of this easily however.
Trail Cameras (m-s) Deer Cam DC-200 quality: Overall I believe the quality and construction is excellent. In fact i believe the Deer cam to be MUCH better then MANY of the "cams" available out there. It's simple, reliable operation makes it a best buy and top pick in my mind.
Deer Cam DC-200 summary: If someone is looking for a great film camera to "scout" out you hunting area this one is my top choice. The battery life is excellent and you can't get a better photo quality. Now with the price reduction for '04 the Deer cam should be in everybodies woods this fall. I will warn everyone however, these units WILL become addicting!!! It's always awesome to see what you have out there and what is going on when you're not around.
