Purchase: Archery Equipment I have been using various TR products since their introduction and this one was sent to me to test. Price runs from $100 to $120 depending on source and number of pins desired.
Things I like about the Trophy Ridge Matrix Guide Series Archery Equipment: The vertical pin (ViPin) concept is simply awesome. I personally feel that this design improves my shooting on 3Ds and on actual game animals. It just naturally helps align right up the animals legs for consistently perfect shots to the boiler room. I also like the round housing with TRs Reflective Sight Ring that really grabs and reflects surrounding light for perfect framing in the shooters peep. The pins are adjusted with simple durable levers that vallow sight-in in seconds. Another very innovative idea.
What I don't like about the Trophy Ridge Matrix Guide Series: Although in my own experience I have not had any issues I have heard of some problems with the sight moving while using just the wing knobs on the older style versions. Based on other reviews on this forum I would say that this apparently isn't a concern as the ratings are very high. These issues have obviously been addressed and the new Guide Series is better than ever.
Archery Equipment Matrix Guide Series quality: I have shot many thousands of shots and hunted hard with these sights and find them to be my all-time favorite in the field. An excellent product and one I would suggest to any serious bowhunter.
Matrix Guide Series summary: If a bowhunter is looking for a sight that I truly believe will improve his or her "game" than the TR Matrix is an excellent tool and should serve them well in any condition.
