Purchase: I purchased this Okuma Inspira on ebay for $75 bucks a month ago.
Things I like about the Okuma Inspira 30: Open lock bail system, 11 Ball bearings for under $100 bucks, extra drilled aluminum spool, aluminum handle that folds down with one simple movement of the locking sleeve. Okuma quality and reliability. The aluminum spool is interchangeable with the Okuma Metaloid if you own one, and vice-versa.
What I don't like about the Okuma Inspira 30: The only dislike I have about this reel is the close resemblance it has to the Okuma Metaloid. I was hoping that the Inspira would outperform the Metaloid in quality and performance, but unfortunately, there isnt much of a difference.
Inspira 30 quality: Quality is excellent, definately one of the best reels you can buy for under $100, especially with 11 ball bearings, you can't go wrong. Okuma is a name you can trust and rely on. The new aluminum handle is quite innovative and convenient. The open bail system is great if you wanna teach young kids how to fish. There is no way they can snap the line when casting.
Inspira 30 summary: Before you purchase the Inspira, take a look at the Metaloid. Although, the Inspira is Okuma's lastest marquee in spinning reels and it offers new features, its predecessor (Metaloid) is just as smooth and well-built. When considering the new features and price of a new Inspira versus a Metaloid, I would personally get a Metaloid because the metaloid is cheaper, the quality is exactly the same, and personally, I like the shine of the Metaloid. One of the advantages of purchasing an Inspira is that it comes with an extra aluminum "drilled" spool. The Inspira is a very well built reel that is smooth in both casting and retriving.
