Reef Runner Lures Deep Diver Fishing Lures
Fishing Lures Manufacturer: Reef Runner Lures
Reef Runner Lures Model: Deep Diver
Review Category: Fishing Lures
Purchase: I've been wanting to fish for Walleye on Dale Hollow Lake for some time. I have a houseboat there & spend a lot of time on the lake. I recently heard about Reef Runner crankbaits from a friend. I bought a couple @ Celina One Stop in Celina TN.@ $7.01 ea. including tax. The friend said these lures are great for Walleye & Smallmouth.Little did I know he was absolutely correct!!!!
Things I like about the Reef Runner Lures Deep Diver: The Deep Diver produced fish first time out, trolling @ abt. 25'. A 20" Smallmouth hit on my first pass near a rocky shoreline. WOW!!! They make many great standard colors as well as custom paint schemes.Trolls very well. No line twist. Goes as deep as they say it will. Also fishes well casting, A really deep diver.
What I don't like about the Reef Runner Lures Deep Diver: Kind of pricey, but available cheaper from Bass Pro or direct from Reef Runner.
Deep Diver quality: Construction is consistent & very good. Cast against rocks on shore, not even a scratch.17 coats of paint on the lure are very tough. All lures ran true right out of the package & required no tunung.
Deep Diver summary: Probably the best crankbait I've ever used. The fish don't seem to be too picky about color either. I would recommend this bait to anyone wanting to catch big Walleye & Smallmouth. I saw a 7-3/4 lb. Walleye caught by a 13 yr. old boy using this bait!!! That's good fishing in anybody's book.
