Purchase: The last pair af Bear Claws I purchased was from Bass-Pro Shop in Charlotte, NC. I beleive I paid around $149.00 for them. I was in town for the Nascar All-Star race.
Things I like about the Rocky Boots Bear Claw 9115: I have owned several pairs of Bear Claws before these, and have tried several other brands of boots including Browning, Red Ball, Wolverine, Georgia Boots, LaCrosse, and Irish Setters. I always come back to Rocky because they are the most comfortable, waterproof boot I have ever worn. Every pair I have had was given to GoodWill, still in good condition after sever years of use. I hunt and work with these boots. They are the closest thing to wearing tennis shoes I have found. The insulation is warm, yet they don't seem to be too hot in the summer months. I have made beleivers out of several of my fellow hunters by just letting the try them on after a hunt. They have owned a pair ever since.
What I don't like about the Rocky Boots Bear Claw 9115: Although the price seems to be coming down on these boots over the years instead of rising, I would like to see them more reasonable so more hunters can afford them. The camo pattern design seems to fade rapidly.
Bear Claw 9115 quality: Mostly Cordura with some leather. With an occasional application of waterproofing product, they have stayed completely dry for years. I have never had a seam come loose or a tear in the material and I am about as rough on boots as anyone. The soles have always worn before retiring them to charity. Even the laces have stayed in good condition for duration...
Bear Claw 9115 summary: Again, I have tried to find a better boot and have not. I have given up and will only buy rocky bear Claws from here on out. They are the best available retail boot for hunting and working out there!
