Purchase: Binoculars I bought this unit at the Sportsmans Guide, an online retailer. I paid $179
Things I like about the Weaver Nightview night vision monocular Binoculars : The best part about the unit is that it can be used during the daytime without worry of damaging the unit, as it uses CCD technology versus the standard night vision devices. It also has a one button digital zoom, three filters and a video out. I can't comment on gen 2 or 3 technology, but the image is much clearer than any gen 1 device I have seen.
What I don't like about the Weaver Nightview night vision monocular: The view is a bit narrow, however it isn't any less narrow than any of its competitor's models at 1x. I would like a higher level zoom maybe to 4x.
Binoculars Nightview night vision monocular quality: Very ergonomic,rubberized housing with the controls easy to get to with one hand.
Nightview night vision monocular summary: A good device, with no worry about blowing the sensor when a bright light hits it. Good image detail with changable viewing filters and great price.
