Purchase: Archery Equipment I purchased this sight after using the standard Micro Matrix on a friends bow. I really like the in line pin arrangement, and the small fiber optic pins are very bright. I liked this sight over several others I tried. I paid $119.00 for the sight.
Things I like about the Trophy Ridge Micro Matrix Guide Series 5 Pin Archery Equipment: The camo on the mount and outside of sight housing was well applied. The vibration dampener fit well. I liked the easy adjustability of the finger adjusments. The pins are very bright and easy to adjust for sighting in. The in line/verticl pin configuration allows you to see much more of your target then horizontal pins.
What I don't like about the Trophy Ridge Micro Matrix Guide Series 5 Pin: The camo overspray into the center of the sight housing looks like it was colored black with a majic Marker. Very cheap and ugly fix for paint overspray. The mounting bracket seemed very week. The sight had more vibration after a shot then it should have. I am shooting it on a Mathews Legacy with 475gr arrows. In fact it broke after less then 300 shots. It was too weak due to the adjusting screw being drilled in the center of the mount. Trophy ridge is aware of the problem, and quickly replaced my mount with the standard Matrix Mount.
Archery Equipment Micro Matrix Guide Series 5 Pin quality: Overall quality is excellent, but the new design in flawed. The design principal is perfect and easy to use. More planning and testing should have been used to determine durability. Trophy Ridge is aware of the problem, and quickly replaced my mount with a standard mount.
Micro Matrix Guide Series 5 Pin summary: Great sight with a great idea on making it easy to adjust and use. The mount was just designed poorly with not enough testing done before product release. This would be a perfect sight if the durability of the mount was increased.
