Hunter's View Hawk Climbing Tree Stands

Tree Stands Manufacturer: Hunter's View
Hunter's View Model: Hawk Climbing
Review Category: Tree Stands

Purchase: Tree Stands I purchased this from Hunter's View Warehouse in Peoria, Il. Last fall, they were selling stands at their warehouse with the proceeds going to charity. I had the opportunity to buy one for $80 which is about $30 cheaper than what they sell for in the stores. This was my first climbing stand. I bow hunted strictly from the ground until the day I bought this stand. I was hunting in the morning on the ground and had a HUGE 10 pointer walk right into my lap. Since I was on the ground, I could not raise my bow to take the shot without spooking the monster. It didn't take long for him to notice me and off he went. I was sick to my stomach and decided to go buy a stand. It just so happened that Hunter's View was having this sale the same weekend, so that's what I bought. I shot a nice 8 pointer out of that stand the same afternoon!

Things I like about the Hunter's View Hawk Climbing Tree Stands: Padded seat, arm rests and back rest. The stand also came with a full-body safety harness. Capacity 300 pounds.

What I don't like about the Hunter's View Hawk Climbing : Heavy - this stand weighs 27 pounds and was heavy and noisey to carry into my area. It was also awkward to attach to the tree and noisey when climbing. Closed front requires you to be standing to take a shot with a bow.

Tree Stands Hawk Climbing quality: Made of steel with a 20" X 27" mesh platform. Lots of padding on the arm rests, seat, back, front rail but in my opinion was not that comfortable.

Hawk Climbing summary: I sold this after only using it once for full price and used that money to buy an Ol'Man Multi-Vision (see my Ol'Man review). I got what I needed out of this stand, but sold it first chance I got!
