Purchase: I purchased the I-Finder throught Bass Pro last spring for about $300 , this included the Mapcreate 6 mapping software.I wanted an easy to use GPS with custom mapping.
Things I like about the Lowrance I-Finder: The I-Finder is very user friendly and the support at the Lowarance website is great. You can pick from easy mode or advanced.Also the Mapcreate 6 software is easy to learn and very versitle.You can create any map you want with lot of info such as custom icons,waypoints and trails. You can down load your maps to the GPS and print them out also.Also available from the web site are enhanced lake contours and the list of lakes is growing .
What I don't like about the Lowrance I-Finder: So far I havent found anything I dont like.
I-Finder quality: Very well constructed , easy to use, and comes with a lanyard and waterproof clear pouch. The manual is easy to read and understand. There are a lot of accessories available also like an external antenna,mounting hardware and memory expansion.
I-Finder summary: I would say the I-Finder is a excellent choice for anyone new to GPS use.It can be used for all marking all your hot spots ,hunting ,fishing ,scouting,or hiking.
