Purchase: Fishing Reels I purchased this reel from Cabela's for about $200. I already had an Energy 650PT and liked it very much but I thought maybe there were even better reels out there.
Things I like about the Quantum Energy 860 PT-X M Fishing Reels: The reel seems to cast a little farther than the regular PT's and look better also.
What I don't like about the Quantum Energy 860 PT-X M: I was really surprised the first time I turned the handle of this reel, it was only slightly smoother than my 650PT.
Fishing Reels Energy 860 PT-X M quality: The reel is stunning in appearance, and is very solid. In terms of looks it ranks up with the Shimano Calais in my opinion. Most people would love this reel, but I am very picky when it comes to how smooth a reel is when I turn the handle.
Energy 860 PT-X M summary: The 860 PTXM is a little smoother than my 650PT but not quite as good as I had hoped.
