Purchase: Binoculars I purchased these binoculars from Cabelas. I wanted to upgrade, and tried numerous brands including Leica, Bushnell Elite, Steiner, Leupold Gold Ring, etc.. These were the best glass for under $1,200.00 period. With the free shipping from Cabelas at the time for a total of $700.00 nothing can compare.
Things I like about the Zeiss 10x40 Classic Binoculars: The size, clarity, and overall quality compares with the best of the best. Comfortable with no eye strain even after hours of glassing.
What I don't like about the Zeiss 10x40 Classic: The clarity is so sharp that when looking within around 100-150 yards movement is noticed.
Binoculars 10x40 Classic quality: The rubber armor is thick, and the included cover keeps rain and snow out. The overall quality is first rate.
10x40 Classic summary: The absolutly best binoculars you can buy for under $1,200.00. Eventually there will be no more, so I would not hesitate.
