Rocky Bear Claw Boots 9115 Hunting Boots

Hunting Boots Manufacturer: Rocky Bear Claw Boots
Rocky Bear Claw Boots Model: 9115
Review Category: Hunting Boots

Purchase: Hunting Boots I bought my Bear Claws at MC Sports in Grand Rapids, MI for $150. I had owned a pair of Cabela's Gore-Tex 400gr boots for 10 years and had never had any moisture get through so I was a big fan of Gore-Tex. I took a hunting trip to Tennessee and FORGOT to bring my boots! One of the guys borrowed his brothers boots so I could wear them. I couldn't believe how light and comfortable they were. I had to get a pair of Gore-Tex boots that felt this great. The additonal warmth of 800gr boots is needed here is Michigan.

Things I like about the Rocky Bear Claw Boots 9115 Hunting Boots: Of course the Gore-Tex was awesome and my boots have always stayed 100% waterproof, but the lightweight and Vibram outsole were more comfortable than anything I have ever worn. I use them even in 10 degree weather with toewarmers and my feet are always fine for hours in the woods. You MUST with any boots use a polypropelene liner and wool sox in that kind of cold. If you only own one pair of boots, the Bear Claws are it. They breathe well in warm temps and insulate well in cold.

What I don't like about the Rocky Bear Claw Boots 9115: My ONLY complaint is that the camo pattern faded quickly

Hunting Boots 9115 quality: They have cordura with some leather around the laces. The Vibram outsole is dual-density to provide great cushioning. The laces are supple and have proven extremely durable. I have hunted in very cold weather for years in cumbersome pac boots. No more. I wear the Bear Claws in the coldest temps and even snow up to a foot. They stay dry and warm. The wool sox and liner are critical though!

9115 summary: I would readily buy another pair. I have had mine for 7 years with only mild tread wear (I don't wear them on concrete, ever). I have tried several other boots and nothing is quite as comfortable. I definitely choked when forking over 150 but pating for a quality boot has definitely been worth it.
