N.A.P. SHOCK WAVE 100 GR 3 BLADE Broadheads
Broadheads Manufacturer: N.A.P.
N.A.P. Model: SHOCK WAVE 100 GR 3 BLADE
Review Category: Broadheads
Purchase: I bought my first set of Shock Wave 100's at Wal-Mart for less than $20.00. I bought them because they were advertised with the promise of flying exactly like my field points. They were right. They do fly exactly like my field points.
Things I like about the N.A.P. SHOCK WAVE 100 GR 3 BLADE: I like the fact that I can practice with field points, and then put a broad head on the same arrow without changing a thing on my bow. A lot of mechanical broad heads say they fly like field points, but I have only found that to be true with the Shock Waves. Even the Spit Fires require a little adjustment when you are shooting arrows over 290FPS.
What I don't like about the N.A.P. SHOCK WAVE 100 GR 3 BLADE: If I had to pick something that I do not like about the Shock Waves--I would say that they damage the insert slightly after impact, and the back of the blades dig into the insert slightly.
SHOCK WAVE 100 GR 3 BLADE quality: The construction of the Shock Waves are just like all other NAP products that I have used. They are well made and strong. The trivex tip has no problem penetrating bone and hide. I killed 5 deer with the Shock Waves. All 5 were complete pass throughs, good blood trails, and not a single one of those deer made it more than 50 yards.
SHOCK WAVE 100 GR 3 BLADE summary: If you like mechanical broad heads, the Shock Wave by NAP is a great choice. They are well made, and under $20 for three is better than most products out there, especially something that works as advertised.
