Remington (Limbsaver) R3 Recoil Pad Shooting Accessories
Shooting Accessories Manufacturer: Remington (Limbsaver)
Remington (Limbsaver) Model: R3 Recoil Pad
Review Category: Shooting Accessories
Purchase: Shooting Accessories After looking for several aftermarket recoil pads, and trying several. I purchased a Remington R3 made by Limbsaver, from a local outdoor store. The cost was a little more than Cabelas or other internet companies. I paid $35.95 for the item.
Things I like about the Remington (Limbsaver) R3 Recoil Pad Shooting Accessories: I put this R3 pad on a Remington 700 BDL 7mm Mag. Due to the light weight of the firearm it had a little much recoil. It was not unbearable, just uncomfortable. The afternoon I installed it on the gun, I went to the range and put 40 rounds of 150 grain ammo thru it. And the next morning I was not even a little blue or could not even tell I had shot the gun.
What I don't like about the Remington (Limbsaver) R3 Recoil Pad: The fit is not a clean around the stock as I would like.
Shooting Accessories R3 Recoil Pad quality: It is made well except for the wood screws supplied with the pad. They need to be just a fraction shorter.
R3 Recoil Pad summary: I have already recommended the R3 (Limbsaver) pad to all my hunting buddies. There will be one on every gun in my safe before long. Remington has jumped way ahead of the other companies by putting these on all their new firearms.
