Mathews Outback Bows
Bows Manufacturer: Mathews
Mathews Model: Outback
Review Category: Bows
Purchase: Bows I bought this bow at Addington's Bowhunter Shop in West Virginia. I paid $649.00 for the bow. I went to buy a Mathew's FX until Frank,(the owner) let me shoot an outback. That was all it took for me to buy it, three shots later.
Things I like about the Mathews Outback Bows: The bow is very smooth through the draw and is very forgiving when shooting. The bow is lightweight and compact. The best thing I like about the bow is how quiet the bow is right out of the box.
What I don't like about the Mathews Outback: The only drawback to this bow is that when you change the let off you either gain or loose a 1/2 inch on the draw. Example= If you shoot a 29 inch draw at 65% let off and you change it to 80% let off your draw increases to 29 1/2 inches.
Bows Outback quality: The bow is built tough. I had a carbon arrow explode in my bow causing it to dry fire. It caused the string to come off of the cams, but it did not hurt the bow in any form. The good friends at Addington's fixed me up for free. The camo finish will take some hits and abrasions and still stay intact.
Outback summary: The bottom line is that I would recommend this bow to anyone. Pick one up at your local dealer and shoot it if they will let you and that is all it will take for you to buy one.
