Mathews Switchback Bows
Bows Manufacturer: Mathews
Mathews Model: Switchback
Review Category: Bows
Purchase: I picked up my Switchback at a local shop for $599.
Things I like about the Mathews Switchback: This is the best bow I have every owned. I usually get two new bows each year, I've owned every make of bow and I find that Mathews consistently outperforms other manufacturers in overall performance. The Switchback is the quietest bow I have ever shot with no dampeners on the string. The Switchback has its own string dampeners that extend from the upper portion of the limb. Tuning is fairly simple as with all Mathews bows. Another huge advantage is hand-shock...there is none to speak of on the Switchback. It may not be the fastest bow at 318 IBO, but overall performance of this bow makes it the best choice for hunting. It can even be used for 3D competition with great success.
What I don't like about the Mathews Switchback: The only possible thing that I don't like is that it is alittle on the heavy side at 4.3 pounds.
Switchback quality: As with all Mathews bows, construction and quality is top notch.
Switchback summary: If you want an excellent performing bow that is quiet, pretty fast and does not kick, this is the bow for you. Easy to tune and the best overall performing bow I have ever owned.
