Parker HunterMag II Bows
Bows Manufacturer: Parker
Parker Model: HunterMag II
Review Category: Bows
Purchase: Outfitter package, purchased 2001 for $535 (LH) from Arlington Archery. Purchased the bow due to my budget. Using Matthews as the market measure, this bow was the closest and most reliable bow I could find after months of research.
Things I like about the Parker HunterMag II: Excellent bow that is very adequate in adverse hunting conditions. Took Missouri deer in December of 2004 with wind chills around -20 degrees and the bow did not have any noise or performance problems whatsoever. I have shot countless arrows with minimal adjustments neeing to be made, and the adjustments are only due to string stretch. Once the bow was tuned totally, it shot darts, and still does. I'm changing to Carbon Express Terminator Hunter arrows for this fall season and the performance has been exceptional. I have assisted several people in getting started with archery hunting and the Parker bow is my recommendation, hands down!
What I don't like about the Parker HunterMag II: I really have no dislikes. If anything, the sights that come on the package could be of better quality.
HunterMag II quality: The bow is extremely sound in construction and the quality is comparable to top of the line bows at a much cheaper price!
HunterMag II summary: Parker is the only bow for me and my family. My daughter will be getting one within the year. She is 10 and loves to shoot! I contacted the company by phone the day I took the Missouri deer referenced earlier and spoke with a representative immediately. There was no long wait or menu to go through! A real person and that is a key. Customer service is exceptional!
