Hoyt UltraTec Bows
Bows Manufacturer: Hoyt
Hoyt Model: UltraTec
Review Category: Bows
Purchase: Bows I was still shooting an old MacPhearson PowerMac Yeah I know... way old...!! My son outgrew his youth bow. So we went shopping and I purchased him the Hoyt UltraSport. His shooting improved so much overnight that he was smoking me(consistently)at 12 years old. This was not acceptable. I went and tried many bows and other manufacturers of bows. I ended up spending $700 for a 2005 UltraTec.
Things I like about the Hoyt UltraTec Bows: The longer axle to axle length of 37 1/2" and the 7" brace height offer for a very very forgiving bow. The Tec riser is extremely quiet. Hoyt bows are easy to tune and hold their tune well.
What I don't like about the Hoyt UltraTec: not meeting advertised IBO speed. Other than that nothing displeases me.
Bows UltraTec quality: The construction is flawless and very conssitent with every Hoyt I have picked up. The quality is great.
UltraTec summary: Bottom line. I am extremely pleased with the UltraTec bow. My grouping has been reduced significantly. My maximum comfortable shooting distance has increased by 15 yards. My overall confidence has risen. You would have to pry it from my cold dead hands.
