Purchase: Bows I purchased the TSS in Troy Illinois for $650 and fully tricked out for $900. A coworker had the SSR and I was impressed with the speed and weight of the bow. I wanted a bow with a minimum 7 inch brace height,light weight and axel measurement of 34 inches or less.
Things I like about the High Country TSS Bows: The speed is unreal for a 65lb setting and draw length of 28 inches. I am able to reach speeds in the high 290 range without ever maxing out the bow limits. I am using a Muzzy Zero effect rest which can only add to the fun of shooting this bow.
What I don't like about the High Country TSS: The bow is louder then what I prefer and I am working on making it a quieter bow as we speak. The attached limb savers seem not to help with dampening the noisy vibrations. Another set limb savers and some string silencers would help.
Bows TSS quality: I am overall pleased with the bow and this will be the second deer season with it. The bow is very light and a pleasure to shoot. I am capable of speeds with this bow which was not able with other bows. The Carbon limbs seem to be holding up and I shoot the bow quite regular inside and outside. No major problems and looking forward to another deer season with it out in the woods.
TSS summary: High Country as a whole is a good company and I'm very satisfed with their carbon arrows,broadheads,bows. Only wish there would be more dealerships around. The shop in Troy Illinois is not the place you would expect to find such high performance equipment. Poor customer support and lack of attention to detail will keep this Troy business down and give High Country Archery a bad name.
