Purchase: Hunting Outerwear Finally decided to put my last hunting suit to rest. I've wanted to upgrade to a better suit for a long time since most of the insulation property of my previous hunting clothes had all but given up. I saw a good deal on this top and bottom set from Cabela's so I jumped on it. I don't remember the exact price, but I think when it was all said and done I paid about $600.
Things I like about the Cabela's Whitetail Extreme MTO50 Hunting Outerwear: Hunting coat and pants are extremely warm and light. Plenty of pockets to put stuff in fact almost too many places to put stuff. Since it's goretex it's waterproof and for the most part windproof. After a couple of hours of wear it became pretty quiet as well. I like not having to take a bag full of underwear, extra pants and shirts just to keep warm. The Mto50 hunting clothes allow me to jump in the truck and go with only my hunting boots, hunting outfit and rifle to carry out the door.
What I don't like about the Cabela's Whitetail Extreme MTO50: It's a little on the stiff side which I'm sure will go away with some wear. Assuming I would need some extra space I ordered it a little large, but with this outfit you don't need to put additional hunting clothes on so shame on me.
Hunting Outerwear Whitetail Extreme MTO50 quality: After one season so far so good. I'm very pleased with the fabrics and seams. No sign of wear whatsoever. Camo pattern is even throughout.
Whitetail Extreme MTO50 summary: I hate to say it, but this might be the last set of hunting clothes I ever buy. Do yourself a favor and buy a good set of hunting clothes for those cold days. Trying to get another year or two out of your old hunting clothes just isn't worth it when you see how little time you have to hunt these days.
