Purchase: I hunted with a legacy before I bought the switchback.I bought my bow at Hunters Haven in elkins, wv. I paid cash for it with a bonus check that I got from my job.I have a little better than 1100.00 dollars in it fully equipped.
Things I like about the Mathews switchback: It is accurate, smooth and quiet.It is the fastest bow that i have ever shot.I really like the slim limbs on the switch back.The camo on this bow is just awesome.
What I don't like about the Mathews switchback: nothing
switchback quality: The construction of the bow is just unreal,The grip fits like a glove.I have let some guys shoot my switchback that have other bows and it seems, not to long after they own a mathews.It shoots so flat , smooth and quiet that the game dont stand a chance.And that means alot when you hate to let game get away.
switchback summary: I first started hunting with a mathews about 8 years ago was guiding a lady at Point Mountain Wilderness, her name was Linda Owens she shoots a mathews and she helped me get my first mathews.It was the legacy,I shot it for about 7 years.Then i gave it to my son and bought the switchback.I have taken a lot of whitetails, bobcats,bears, turkeys with the legacy.So I am looking forward hunting with my switchback.My first animal with it was a turkey,GOBBLER at about 10 yards.It is hard to kill a turkey,so you can just see how quiet and accurate it is.To say it all, I will never shoot any thing but a mathews it is just so well constructed , that it would not make any sense to hunt with anything else.
