Purchase: Bows I bought this bow in 2006 from Dunn's Sporting Goods in Marion, IL. The guy at the bow counter has done all of my bow work since I started shooting in 2003. I told him I wanted the biggest bang for the buck. He imediately grabbed this well built, short axle to axle, just all out mean looking bow. I was affraid to ask but I did. "How much will this hurt my wallet." $350.00 bare bow not to bad, I'll try it out. So I went to the back and shot it. It was amazing. Quiet, smooth, fast up until now I didn't think these three things went together in archery.
Things I like about the Bowtech 2006 Tomkat Bows: This bow is great for a younger shooter of even an older shooter looking for a quality cheaper bow. Bowtech spoiled me with the speed and being so quiet, but the accuracy was scary. I shot with my dad and he was amazed. He shot in a league for years and couldn't believe my groups. The bow just holds so comfortably it's amazing. In the woods I'm not afraid to be at full draw for a minute of two on that buck of a lifetime. Another amazing thing is this bow has no jump. The limbs cancel each other out and theres no shot jump at all.
What I don't like about the Bowtech 2006 Tomkat: I don't think there is a thing I don't like about this bow. It's just a solid shooter.
Bows 2006 Tomkat quality: This bow has a solid machine riser and almost parallel limbs. It a has the binary cam system which makes for a fast arrow flight. With a 250 grain carbon express maxima hunter and a hundred grain field point I shoot 315fps.
2006 Tomkat summary: The Bowtech Tomkat is a killer. The bow is light, fast, quiet, smooth what else could a hunter ask for? I myself am a believer in the Bowtech products. I now have a friend getting one and he can say it's cut and dry Bowtech or not at all. I will never go to another bow other that a Bowtech.
