Purchase: Bows I had heatd so many good things about the new Bear line of bows so I recently purchased one from Mike's Outdoor Sports for $429.00 for the bare bow, which after coughing up that amount, and actually fitting this bow and shooting it, I relized what a great bow I had purchased!
Things I like about the Bear 2008 Bear Game Over Bows: The new Bear Game Over is a wonderful bow, lightweight (3.9 pounds) with an axle to axle length of 33 inches, which is compact enough for treestand hunting. With an IBO of 301-305 fps, this bow packs a punch, yet has a single arc string suppressor, which virtually eliinates hand shock. This bow also has dual stainless steel ball bearings in the idler wheel, which makes the draw effortless with an very forgiving 80% let-off, to allow for prolonged periods of holdig at full draw. The grip is very ergonomic and comfortable, with slip resistant rubber gripping and Winner' Choice strings...all top of the line additions that make this bow one of the best that I have ever shot.
What I don't like about the Bear 2008 Bear Game Over: Once getting past the initial cost of buying the bow and actually outfitting it with a quality sight and arrow rest, a well as an arrow quiver, there really wasn't really aything negative that I could find with this bow...quiet, fast, comfortable and dependable. You can't ask for more in a bow.
Bows 2008 Bear Game Over quality: Top quality construction as previouly stated with sealed stainless steel ball bearings in the idler wheel, the integrated Single Arc string suppressor, machined- aluminu minimum refle risor with pivoting limb cups...all top notch!
2008 Bear Game Over summary: This is one fine shooting bow. Kudos to Bear Archery for producing the Bear Game Over! Not only did they produce a quality bow at a reasonable price, but they were able to include higher end features without increasing the bow price. I am eager to get out in th woods and bring home a trophy. Thank you Bear Archery for giving me that chance!
