Purchase: Bows I bought my Mathews Switchback bow about 5 years ago for $750.00. I was told by the retail store owner (Extreme Outdoors, Curt kerritt) who was a friend, that Mathews was the best. Since then, I have used it to take down wild bores in Northern California, deer and elk and my hunt of all times: An American bull bison (buffalo) in Idaho last year! I would be happy to forward a photo of the buffalo, as I am still very proud of that. I've hunted in California, Nevada, Idaho and Colorado
Things I like about the Mathews Switchback Bow Switchback Bows: I like it's consistent accuracy, I like the feel of the bow, the weight is good, it's short, very rarely needs tuning... just a nice sturdy reliable bow. Unfortunately, mine was just stolen last week - I am sick about it; so I am in the market for a replacement as soon as I can save some money.
What I don't like about the Mathews Switchback Bow Switchback: There is nothing I didn't like about the bow - I've used several different brands, and my Mathews was, by far, the best.
Bows Switchback quality: I think I already have described the construction and quality - it's sturdy, "comfortable" , accurate, reliable and an attractive looking bow.
Switchback summary: I would recommend the Mathews Switchback to any hunter, who loves hunting, and wants a reliable high quality bow. I have used this bow for small and large game, for dangerous and not dangerous animals - I need a bow that is safe, and that I can depend on. Mathews fits the bill. I am an avid hunter - and have been for 25 years... so I know what I am talking about!
