Mathews Reezen 6.5 Bows

Bows Manufacturer: Mathews
Mathews Model: Reezen 6.5
Review Category: Bows

Purchase: Bows I purchased the Mathews Reezen 6.5 at Rogers Sporting goods in Liberty, MO. The price of the bow was $749 with out the kit. I had my own kit to put on it. I searched for a good reliable bow for months researching everyone that caught my eye. But the Mathews Reezen stuck out. I wanted to replace my old bow Parker Hunter Mag II that I have had since 2001. My Kit consist of: Trophy Taker FC Extreme Drop away rest. Apex Atomic 6 Pin Sight. Scott Release. Atomic bomb doinker.

Things I like about the Mathews Reezen 6.5 Bows: After shooting the Mathews Reezen at the bow range and at a few 3D Tournaments. I found that it is a very smooth operating bow. When pulling the bow back for a shot, it is so smooth all the way to the break of the let off. When fired, it goes through the cycle very well and it very quiet due to all the dampeners that come on it. The bow is very fast but when I used a chronograph with a 318gr arrow the arrow flew at 320fps. Which is a great improvement from my old Parker. The bow is very reliable even after a few tournaments where I recorded over 300 shots in one weekend.

What I don't like about the Mathews Reezen 6.5: The Bow comes with two string suppressors, one that the top and one at the bottom. The bottom of the string has a string leech on it, standard issue. The bottom string suppressor has already wore out and has a deep cut in the rubber buffer. I already need to replace the rubber stopper in the string suppressor already after owning it for a few months. That is only thing that I can even say bad about the Mathews Reezen.

Bows Reezen 6.5 quality: The construction of the single cam bow is very solid. I am a big fan of the single piece limbs. I dont like the spit limbs because there is more of a chance for cam rotation or tilt because the split limbs do not resist the same amount of tension. The grip is very small so you can fit just about any size hand in it. The bow has dampeners build in the bow frame and on the string which makes it a very quiet shooting bow.

Reezen 6.5 summary: Over all, the smooth operation of the bow makes is very comfortable to shoot. It is reliable in extreme weather such as the hot summer temperatures as well as the winter temperatures. The over all construction of the be bow will assure the hunter that is can stand the harsh field conditions, bumping it on brush, and even the accidental drop or two from the deer stand. It is a fast shooting bow that is very impressive for a single cam. Due to the low shock and great let off, the accuracy will greatly improve.
