Renegade Alpha-1 Bows
Bows Manufacturer: Renegade
Renegade Model: Alpha-1
Review Category: Bows
Purchase: I purchased this bow in Feb of 2003 from a local archery dealer. I shot many different bows in his store and I really liked the quietness and low recoil of the Renegade. I paid $440 for the bow and then added about $250 worth of accessories.
Things I like about the Renegade Alpha-1: The Alpha-1 is small and lightweight making it perfect for tree stand hunting. Axle length is 31 1/2" and the bow was 3.6 lbs. before I added my accessories. The bow comes in camo from the factory with Mossy Oak Breakup. I have mine setup with a 2 piece grip (perfect for smaller hands) and the optional 80% let off. This bow also comes with a life-time warranty.
What I don't like about the Renegade Alpha-1: Nothing so far.
Alpha-1 quality: Excellent quality. Sturdy construction. Life-time warranty.
Alpha-1 summary: Very quiet bow, even before I installed Limbsavers and string silencer. Little to no vibration when shooting. Even though it is short and lightweight, it is very forgiving due to a brace height of 8 1/4". 5 stars for Renegade!
